Hamilton Beazley's Biography Hamilton Beazley, Ph.D. is Scholar-in-Residence at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas and former Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at The George Washington University, Washington, DC. He received his B.A. degree in psychology from Yale University and his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from The George Washington University. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Beazley served in a variety of executive positions. He is former President of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc., New York City and a former member of the Executive Committee of the Division on Addictions of the Harvard Medical School. He is the author of seven books, including the award winning No Regrets. Dr. Beazley serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Servant Leadership and of the Brief Addiction Science Information Source (BASIS), a virtual institute of the Division on Addictions of the Harvard Medical School that oversees four journals on addiction. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Austin Recovery and the Board of Trustees of the Educational Advancement Foundation and is a former member of the Episcopal Radio-TV Foundation. Dr. Beazley has appeared on "Oprah Winfrey," NBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox, and a host of radio programs from coast to coast. He has been quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Time Magazine, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, and numerous other newspapers and periodicals; he has appeared on radio programs across the country and has testified before committees of both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate as an expert witness. |
